Circle Skirt
Circle skirts are so fun to make and they look amazing once they are done. All you have to do is make a pattern with a measurement of your waist and the bottom flare that you want, mark it on a four-fold pattern/newspaper and cut it out. There are YouTube videos, which show how to cut a circle skirt, refer to those before starting your work. These skirts give a snug fit at the waist which expands into a huge flare at the bottom. It’s super airy and has an amazing fall to it. You could make a circle skirt of any length but full length and knee length ones look the best. You can even attach this to a crop top and turn it into a cute skater dress! Try working with different lengths before you decide to cut it at a certain length. You can add how much ever flare you want in this skirt based on the amount of fabric that you have. More the fabric, more the flare!

A-Line Skirt
A-line skirts look neat and are perfect for regular office wear. These mostly stick to your body’s silhouette with a slight flare at the bottom of the skirt. It’s called A-line for a reason, as it is narrow at the waist and gets wider when you reach the hemline, giving it the shape of an ‘A’. These skirts look flattering on people of inverted triangle and hourglass body types, but can be worn by people of other body types too. Since the skirt is playful and has some fall, pair it up with crop tops or fitted tops, so as to focus the attention on your skirt. The key to making any skirt work for you is to style it right! The pattern for this is also super simple and just needs a front and back panel! Join the sides and attach it to a waistband to finish this skirt! Most of the sundresses(1) have A-line cuts as these are easier to handle while also being comfortable.
Wrap-Around Skirt
Wrap-around skirts come as an open patterned skirt which you have to tie around yourself. The most interesting thing about wrap around skirts is the way you drape it! I mean you don’t have to step inside a skirt instead you just have to wrap it over and tie it at the waist. These skirts are perfect for holidays and beach getaways! Super easy to wear and can be carried around just in case of a fashion emergency. You could call a wrap-around skirt an open circle skirt but with much less flare to it! Once you are done tying it around your waist, it’ll look like an A-line skirt with a side slit. This is one of the best skirts to own during the summers.

Pleated Skirt
Pleated skirts come in different variations, depending on the size of pleats you want to have in your skirt. Out of all the skirts listed, pleated skirts might involve a little more work. You have to measure out and pin your pleats to keep them in place before you start stitching them together. They are different pleats like box pleats, knife pleats, inverted box pleats and so on. You’ll have to fold the pleats and pin them to fit the size of your waist to achieve this skirt style. The pleats add a beautiful look to the skirt and make it look crisp! Don’t forget to iron your pleated skirts before wearing them to look clean and sharp!
