The success of Hamstech Fashion Show 2017 was scripted by the splendid display of admirable effort, talent and skill showcased by its fashion design students. Their collections that were presented on the ramp brought to the audience many flavours of fashion. They ranged from a celebration of Indigenous textile art to highly innovative designs for fusion garments.
The collection “Rustic Rogan” bagged a remarkable two awards at the Hamstech Fashion Show 2017: the “Economically Viable” and “Most Saleable” awards.
A collection dedicated to ethnic wear, it presented the endearing design elements of Rajasthani Rogan art. A variety of garments in the collection including sarees, crop tops, maxis and anarkalis displayed on the runway were mostly in earthly colours. The sheen of Chanderi silk in which the garments were crafted gave greater appeal to an affordable and stylish collection.
The price affordability of TheHLabel’s collection as a whole translates well into the Rustic Rogan collection too. Garments in the collection are great picks at very reasonable prices. The collection has the added virtue of enchanting artwork prints, attractive embellishment works like tassels and flares, high quality garments like Chanderi silk and crepe and the ethnic charm that can be carried to traditional and casual occasions. Such features getting added to an affordably priced collection is a task hard to achieve. But Hamstech’s talented designers stood up to the challenge successfully.
The wondrous combination of creative ingenuity with affordability gives Rustic Rogan the potential to be a highly in-demand and saleable collection. No wonder the judges found it deserving the title of “Most Saleable” collection at the show!
Applying the knowledge acquired from fashion designing courses at the right places, the students did a commendable job to win the deserving prize. The talented designers behind the collection were Uma, Kousaly Malapati, Sri Lekha Reddy, Vijaya Satharla, Shekha Kasula and Chandola Hari Krishna.
Hamstech Institute, with its annual fashion show, has always amazed the audience with the brilliance and innovativeness of its students. The show inspires even more creative youngsters and fashion enthusiasts to take up fashion designing as a career.
Contributing to the success of the event was the uninhibited guidance of its fashion design mentor, Mrs. Neeta Lulla. The wholehearted teamwork and best efforts of Hamstech’s students and staff only assured more wonders to grace the event in the coming years.
